I believe that the tractor plugs are the same as what a semi truck-trailer uses. All makes and models are designed differently, so you'll need to have a service or repair. Someone with this issue should send a PM to the GM Customer Service rep here ASAP to see if this can be remedied.

I have hooked up a trailer light and it works manually, but I have not been able to get it to come on automatically. There is a lot wiring that you have to tie into your truck's wiring harness, but it is easier to do than it seems. And I'll be using standard trailer wire colors.
